The Job

 

Our client, a global information technology company that specialises in software development for electronic payment systems used for retail banking is seeking a highly motivated Pre-Sales Consultant to join their expanding team. This role is to develop and manage the companys pre-sales practice in the APAC region.

 

This specialised position will also encompass the preparation and maintenance of the pre-sales materials and interaction with potential customers including presentations, demonstrations of software products, technical discussions, requirements gathering and scoping studies. The role also requires participation in marketing activities such as conferences and exhibitions, interacting with potential customers, delivering speeches, articles and acting as subject matter experts for all PR related events.

 

Technically this person should have

 

  • Domain knowledge on payment systems (i.e. Visa, MasterCard, CUP, JCB etc…) handling switching routing etc…
  • Domain knowledge on Device Handling / Driving of self service devices such as ATM, CDMs, Kiosks, Printers preferred
  • Infrastructure required for supporting & deploying the above systems such as (Clustering / Backup & Disaster Recovery, Java/J2EE, Operating systems – AIX, Unix etc… Application Servers – WAS, BEA Weblogic, etc… Databases – DB2, Oracle, SQL, etc…)

Responsibilities:

  • Administer the business processes related to the admittance and ongoing management of clients into the company, including licensing, sponsorship, as well as terminations/closures for clients
  • Check, process and input new client’s data into the Client and Information System
  • Review eligibility of Client applications in liaison with Credit Settlement Risk
  • Prepare and manage schedule for applications to be presented for approval
  • Database processing of Client applications after acceptance
  • Database processing of all Client updates
  • Ensure the Client files are maintained securely stored and are accurate
  • Correspond with Clients; liaise with Credit Settlement Risk, Business Development, Finance and other departments regarding licensing queries and issues.
  • Discuss and resolve any outstanding membership queries with counter-parts in the other regions and also staff at Central
  • Ensure Data in the informate system is correct, resolve and correct any inaccuracies
     

 Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Paya Lebar.
  • Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Banking/Financial Services or equivalent
  • Working within an International/Global environment
  • Working knowledge of the bankcard or banking industry
  • In-depth knowledge and experience required to perform multifaceted responsibilities
  • High level of self organisation
  • Good interpersonal skills as will be dealing with members and Senior Management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with cross functional teams and able to build positive relationships across all levels within the organisation
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to recognise potential issues as they arise and escalate appropriately
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing environment with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong PC skills and high proficiency
  • Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • An understanding of databases and Computing

  • This position requires a minimum of 3-6 years experience within a business environment and demonstrated ability to handle many projects simultaneously.
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across functions.
