Responsibilities:
- General day to day planning duties, including:
- Liaison with agents and shipping lines
- Depot liaison on tanks cleaning, tank allocation
- Haulier instruction for both loading and empty collection from ports
- Liaison with commercial department on orders/planning
- Maintain and updating of database
- Liaising with customers (shippers/ receivers) & agents
- Assess customer’s requirements & offer quotation
- Sourcing/ negotiating of rates
- Processing of supplier invoices
- Reporting directly to the Tank planner and Operations Manager
- Liaise with ship agents and marine office for vessel details, schedules and updates
- Preparing of necessary documents for delivery, ie, shipyard permit, port authority approval etc.,
- Arranging of lube supply to in-house fleet of vessels
- Ensure billing for all delivery made
- Liaise with shipping operation and bunker/lube supplier on operation issues, delay of vessels
- Preparation of documents such as voyage orders, loading and discharge instructions
- Monitor vessel voyage progress and track vessel performance
- Co-ordinate the daily operational activities of all owned, time and voyage charter ships
- Preparation and handling of charter party contracts and correspondence, calculation of all laytime demurrage charges / brokerage payments
- Preparation of freight invoices, demurrage / despatch statement and ensure timely receipts of hire, freight and other outstanding amounts
- Ensure compliance with the agreed charter party terms
Requirements:
- GCE ‘O/A’/ Diploma Holder/Degree holders in Maritime with some working experience from the trading/shipping/freight forwarding, chartering, bunkering & Shipmanagement industry
- Independent and able to work in a team
- Possess good communication skills and able to interact with all levels
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
