Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of customer service and logistic assistants to ensure an effective and efficient logistics support to meet customer requirements
- Ensure on time delivery/shipment, close monitoring and follow up with customers of all outstanding orders and timely receipts of payments
- Work closely with internal departments on freight rates, statues of cargoes and shipping related issues
- Handle the whole order processing for Apac countries
- Liaise with Shipping line on container issues, delivery schedules and detention period
- Liaise with carriers, insurance company on rates and arrangement of payments
- Ensure shipping documents are in order for customer clearances (L/C, invoices/packing list/D/O order, import permits, inspection certificates)
- Negotiate with carriers on freight rates, quotations and maintenance of freight rates
- Oversee and ensure all transactions, data entry of orders and shipment information are updated into system
- Manage Logistic movement and warehousing and documentation issues
- Experience in working within policies and procedures and understanding of compliance, in regulatory bodies, such as (PSA)
Requirements:
- Min Diploma/Degree in Shipping, Logistics & Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or other related studies
- Min 5 – 7 years of working experience in shipping, logistics planning (preferably Commodity trading)
- Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge in handling import documents, permits and shipping documents
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial trade documentation
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a fast paced environment diligent, proactive and positive disposition
