Responsibilities:
- Project implementation and to support installed based customers
- Perform onsite fault call support, and 24×7 standby support
- Perform industry standard server implementation, upgrades and troubleshooting
- Perform systems solutions and integration related tasks
- Perform presales activities (experience to work on tender proposals)
Requirements:
- Min 5 years experience in mid to large scale planning/install/maintain/troubleshoot in Windows based environment from Vendor/SI background
- Diploma/Degree in IT related fields
- Hands on skills for Intel based Server Hardware to install/upgrade/troubleshoot systems (eg. IBM/HP)
- Plan, deploy, support and upgrade of VMware Solutions
- Presales functions
- VMware Virtualization
- Capacity planning eg. VMware CP, Novell Plate Spin
- Plan, install, configure, troubleshoot ESX/ESXi
- Install, configure, support VCenter, Vmotion, Storage Vmotion
- Careful preparation of P2V migration needs
- Working knowledge of VCB
- Knowledge of Site Recovery Manager
- Desktop Virtualization, VDI eg. VMware View
- MS OS Exposure (AD, OS Hardening, MS Clusters/NLB)
- AV such as Symantec, Trend Micro
- CA BrightStor ARCserve Backup, ACRONIS
- VMware Certification Profession (VCP4.X)
- MCSA/MCSE
