What are the three top issues you most want to see addressed in Singapore’s 2015 Budget on Feb 23?

HEALTHCARE and greater assistance for the lower-income segment of society and the elderly are themes I hope to see given continued focus in Budget 2015. On the business front, several schemes and grants were introduced in recent years during periods of economic uncertainty to prevent greater fallout. Some of these schemes did prove useful. Thus, I hope that some of the more effective schemes and grants could be made permanent or, at the very least, reviewed for extension given that Singapore is still in the midst of economic restructuring. I also hope to see the government provide more viable long-term solutions especially in the areas of cost control and productivity improvement across industries to help businesses alleviate the pain of this economic restructuring.
