Tapping into AEC’s free flow of resources

What would be the impact of an Asean Economic Community in 2015 on your industry?
How is your organisation gearing up to ride the market opportunities?
THE vision of the Asean Economic Community is commendable. Its ultimate effectiveness, however, boils down to its execution and how everything will be coordinated between all 10 member-states. Human
resources development and capacity building is one of the areas that has been specifically singled out in the AEC blueprint so this should bode well for our industry. The removal of restrictions on trade of services between member-states will facilitate the free flow of services and I certainly welcome any such measures that will help smoothen the path for PrimeStaff’s expansion into the region.
Our recruitment division already helps clients fulfill job placements across the Asia Pacific from our base in Singapore and we have been in expansion mode this year, regardless of the AEC. If the AEC can facilitate the opening of new markets for us and accelerate cross-market opportunities, that would be wonderful.
